The transmission was freshly rebuilt and a new clutch cable had it shifting like new, until reverse decided to quit operating properly. The car would jump out of reverse at the slightest chance. Not a critical problem, but annoying. The transmission came down and behold the reverse gears had all been chewed up. Fortunately they ride outside of the rest of the gears and were not able to do any damage to anything but themselves. Shop covered labor and I picked up a set of used reverse gears for $250. They would have cost more than that each (there are three) from Porsche and they may have been back ordered from Europe for between 6 monthsand a year!
