I'm John Deitz, PCA member, Rennlist lifer, Jersey guy (yeah, what exit?)
I started out with a beater 1985.5 944 NA in Feb 2000 (on Ebay, but local)
Fixed it up, tracked it a couple of times, a fun but rough car.
It was a tough decision but I sold it in June 2002. Because by then I wanted more...
I wanted BOOST and I got it!
I purchased this 1986 951 (aka 944 Turbo) in June 2002 (also Ebay) from
a real Porsche guy in Hilton Head SC. What a beauty (the car)!
(The color is not maroon, it's mahogany metallic = LB8Z)
So nice I didn't mind rebuilding the engine for good measure!
Maybe too nice! Should I track it?
Haven't got it to the track yet, but any day now...
