914 RIDE June, 2002

Hello 914er's,
Well everyone it's over, I'm sad to say, but boy did we have a good time or what! 8>) We had in attendance TEN 914's. Yes, TEN of all
colors, yellow being number one. My thanks to all who were able to make it and a big thanks to Carolyn and Gary Starin for the use of their lovely home and pool. Gary set the route that we followed to Linden
where we stopped and took pics and had a COOL ICE CREAM, which felt great. With that stop complete it was off to more hills and turns, low speeds and some higher end stuff too---- all cars that started,
finished, which is good for the 914 cars, and with no push starts! Once
back to the Starin's more pics were taken and the cameras put away. Did I say food, wow we had plenty of good food with everyone bringing a dish to pass, burgers and hot dogs cooked by Gary. Seems like they are always better away from home and when someone else makes them. Thanks again for all that made the ride and maybe you will be able to come along on the next one. Oh yes, our 11th car was a no show only because of a mishap at work that ended with ten stitches in the right knee cap. Hope you are feeling better Keith. Well, when should we do this again? Not too soon as Mr.& Mrs. Marc Lopez's new son will be here right away and they want to go again!!
