Snow Performance Water injection install on my 86 944 Turbo. The pump. 60PSI with a 100PSI upgrade. It's the same pump. 100psi upgrade switch. Initial install says it will go in front of the AC condenser. There's
no other place for it. I'll end up making a bracket and mount it there. I could bolt it to the spoiler, but I'm not sure I want to do that.
Anyone else have a suggestion? Where did you mount yours??? Epoxy the fitting in the washer tank. Stock tank is almost 2 gallons!
Picked up a 1/2" pipe by 1/4 compression right angle fitting. Drilled a hole slightly less then the 1/2". Used a tap to 'help' the threads start. Then screwed the right angle fitting into the drivers rear side of the stock tank, (see photos). It was actually pretty tight, but I went a step further and removed the fitting, epoxyed and replaced the fitting, building up the outside for
reinforcment. Then reinstalled the tank. (easier said than done) The spray nozzle in the outlet intercooler pipe. As far as the nozzle, I have aftermarket (Homemade) intercooler pipes, and I had an extra fitting on the pipe. I cut it down, found a pipe fitting that fit almost perfect, tapped the pipe to add some threads, JB welded the pipe fitting to the intercooler pipe. Again, see photos. For the stock pipes, I would drill a whole, and weld or JBweld a similar pipe thread to the tube. Some close-ups of the nozzle.
What to spray??? All season water/alcohol mix windshield washer fluid.. More to come....
